Aliyaa Island Restaurant and Bar is a pioneer in offering authentic Sri Lankan cuisine in Kuala Lumpur and across Southeast Asia. Established in 2007, the restaurant located in the suburbs of the Malaysian capital provides an authentic Sri Lankan dining experience with friendly and professional staff, tasteful decoration, and a cosy atmosphere.

Dr. Parvathy Kanthasamy

Culinary Advisor

Aliyaa's Culinary Advisor, Dr. Parvathy Kanthasamy, is responsible for maintaining the authenticity and flavour profile of Sri Lankan cuisine in every dish. She works closely with the culinary team to ensure that every dish on the menu stays true to the traditional taste of Sri Lanka, making her an inspiration behind Aliyaa and the Aliyaa menu.

Siva Suppaiya

Head Chef

Aliyaa’s Head Chef, Siva Suppaiya, works closely with Dr. Parvathy Kanthasamy and leads the team on its daily operations. In addition to making the meals she requests, he also adds his own creative twist to further enhance the flavours. Together with his team, Chef Siva strives to present the best of Sri Lankan cuisine to the guests of Aliyaa.

Aliyaa's Operations Manager, Azhar, has 20 years of valuable industry experience. He firmly believes that teamwork, effective communication, and heartfelt service are the keys to providing exceptional experiences to customers. Under his leadership, Azhar's motivational and encouraging approach has enabled them to thrive.
